west elm - south africa

West Elm has gone south...but in a good way!  In a recent collaboration with some notable South African designers, the company has created a collection that allows you to bring home the colours, crafts and creative spirit of Cape Town and Johannesburg.  Originally a Capetonian myself, I was thrilled by the announcement and am in love with some of the pieces. 

I've narrowed down my top three picks to the John Vogel Bench, the Graphic Lidded Basket (which comes in an array of colours), and the Source Dining Chair.  Each piece is inspired by traditional South African design and details but with a modern twist.  I'm thinking about nabbing one of the Graphic Lidded Baskets for our patio.  It would be perfect to house a few blankets for when the sun goes down but you just don't want to go inside.
