cabin fever

Welcome to another week everyone!  I don't know about you, but I'm pretty happy it's going to be a short one.  How was your weekend?

Brad has been working most Saturdays as of late, so when he thought he might be able to slip away for two days in a row, we took advantage and booked a last minute getaway to Whistler.  We drove up early Saturday morning and hit up the slopes for a full day of skiing.  The conditions were great and it was so nice to be out enjoying the elements.  Later, we visited some family friends at their beautiful ski in, ski out cabin for a little hot tub action and then checked into our hotel for some rest and relaxation.  It was a beautiful weekend!

Whenever I'm in Whister, I always feel spoiled by my surroundings; snow capped mountains, crisp, fresh air and gorgeous cabins.  Much to Brad's chagrin, it's times like these that always leave me day dreaming about my future second home.  This Aspen lodge would do the trick!  It's light, airy and simply luxurious.  I love that the walls of the rooms are white and that the casual, cabin feel is brought to life through the use of woods, faux fur accents and floor to ceiling windows which allow the beauty of the outdoors to creep in.  And now for that high paying job...  Do you have a favourite place you like to escape to for the weekend? xoxo
