fabric

I was so excited when I came across this post by Jenny Komenda last week while reading her blog Little Green Notebook (a daily read for me).  I have been really uninspired by the local Vancouver fabric stores lately and have been on the hunt for somewhere that offers variety as well as up to date, trendy, designer patterns and prints.  L&S Fabrics is EXACTLY what I've  been dreaming of!  The store itself is located in Atlanta, but the best part about L&S is that you can order fabric online.

In her blog post, Jenny features some of her favourite fabrics and gives some tips on mixing patterns.  I thought I'd play along and share some picks of my own.  As a lover of a yellow and grey scheme any day of the week, my first selection is something I would strongly consider for my master bedroom.  I'm picturing drapes (#4), an end of the bed bench seat cover (#1) and scatter cushions against crisp white bedding using all four selections.

The blue scheme would look great in a casual cottage family room.  I would do roman blinds (#3), an ottoman (#4) and a few couch cushions.  The Union Jack fabric would break up the blue with a punch of red.

I am so excited to continue playing around with fabric selections from L&S.  Do you have any favourite picks?

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Happy Monday! xoxo
